Coerver Center of Excellence Summer TrainingCoerver Coaching Ct are pleased to announce the Summer 2023 Summer Center of Excellence Training. This year we will be holding sessions at Greenwich Academy which is one of the top training facilities in CT.
Training Options
We will be offering two options for training this year, you can choose either once or twice a week Coerver training.
Practices
Coerver Coaching philosophy is all about development. At the young ages we encourage players to be skillful and free from restrictions. We will create technically gifted players that will have great first touch, good in 1v1 attacking and defending situations, group attack and group defending with speed. Teams will play a passing/possession style of play and play out from the back so the goalkeeper will not be encouraged to punt the ball. Instead, they will be trained to be good with the ball at their feet under pressure.
Results are not as important as development at these key ages. The most important thing is getting as many touches on the ball in practice and in games. Players need to be encouraged to be happy and confident players - not scared to fail even if they make a mistake.
Coerver Coaching CT will implement this by following our Coerver Curriculum and Pyramid of Development. All of our staff are trained in the Coerver Coaching Method and will follow the curriculum.
